IDEAL CANDIDATE

We want to locate visionary, humble, kingdom-minded leaders who get excited about gathering, building teams, multiplying themselves and churches. The ideal candidate will have experience in a ministry setting, drive and an entrepreneurial spirit. 

OVERVIEW

This position is a 12-month program. The first 6 months will be focused on the Movement staff investing in the resident and providing experience on our workplace culture. During this time the resident will begin planning a timeline and launch strategy. The second 6 months will include executing the launch strategy, i.e. fundraising and recruiting. 

HIGHLIGHTS OF RESIDENCY

  • Training in general church leadership and philosophy of ministry

  • Theological instruction

  • Experience in portable church leadership

  • Guidance in casting vision and strategic planning

  • Training in discipleship (1-on-1 and corporately, including planning and multiplication)

  • Access to relational and theological networks, i.e. Exponential Conference, New Thing, Columbus Church Planters Gatherings)

  • Guidance in financial planning, budgeting and fundraising

  • Experience in administration, project management and workflow

  • Training in recruitment, team building and delegation

  • Experience in communication (large/small group platforms, group trainings, meetings)

  • Coaching with Lead Pastor and other local experienced church planters

  • Access to on-going relationships and resources

  • Training in leading a staff/team, with access to each member of our team

  • Exposure to ministry and life in the Columbus, OH context

CONTEXT | LONDON, OH

London, Ohio is a city to watch. Strategically located just 25 miles southwest of Columbus, London is an emerging bedroom community for Columbus with an expanding economy. Small enough to retain a small-town feel, but boasting a population large enough to classify as a city, London offers a great opportunity for a church to take Jesus to the heart of Madison County. This opportunity is rooted in demographic and community considerations and will also involve leaders from our network from the ground up. As Movement Church expands, it’s heart is to provide a more localized church for the several people currently residing in London.
