IDEAL CANDIDATE

We want to locate visionary, humble, kingdom-minded leaders who get excited about gathering, building teams, multiplying themselves and churches. The ideal candidate will have experience in a ministry setting, drive and an entrepreneurial spirit. 

OVERVIEW

This position is a 12-month program. The first 6 months will be focused on the Three Creeks Church staff investing in the resident and providing experience on our workplace culture. During this time the resident will begin planning a timeline and launch strategy. The second 6 months will include executing the launch strategy, i.e. fundraising and recruiting. 

HIGHLIGHTS OF RESIDENCY

  • Training in general church leadership and philosophy of ministry

  • Theological instruction

  • Experience in portable church leadership

  • Guidance in casting vision and strategic planning

  • Training in discipleship (1-on-1 and corporately, including planning and multiplication)

  • Access to relational and theological networks, i.e. Exponential Conference, New Thing, Columbus Church Planters Gatherings)

  • Guidance in financial planning, budgeting and fundraising

  • Experience in administration, project management and workflow

  • Training in recruitment, team building and delegation

  • Experience in communication (large/small group platforms, group trainings, meetings)

  • Coaching with Lead Pastor and other local experienced church planters

  • Access to on-going relationships and resources

  • Training in leading a staff/team, with access to each member of our team

  • Exposure to ministry and life in the Columbus, OH context

  • Opportunity for capable young leaders

CONTEXT | Granville, OH

Granville is a smaller “village” with around ~7,000 in Licking County, 35 miles east of Columbus. Home to Denison University, this smaller community makes a ripe and more focused context for a church plant. With Columbus booming, Granville is quickly becoming a hot-spot bedroom community for commuters into Columbus, and is a perfect time to place a local church community for this community. Being on the East side, Three Creeks Church would be able to provide a great foundation to starting this church community.
